PM Modi Highlights Energy Security, AI, and Global South at G7 Outreach Session.

At the G7 Summit outreach session on energy security in Kananaskis, Canada, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized sustainable and inclusive growth. He showcased India’s global initiatives like the International Solar Alliance, CDRI, and the Global Biofuels Alliance, stressing the importance of renewable energy in powering a technology-driven future. Highlighting AI’s energy demands, PM Modi called for responsible global governance and safe supply chains of critical minerals. He raised concerns over deepfakes, urging clear labeling of AI-generated content. Addressing the Global South’s struggles with food, fuel, and finance crises, Modi reaffirmed India’s commitment to voicing their concerns. He reiterated India's stance against terrorism, condemning the Pahalgam attack and urging global unity against terrorism supporters. Modi also cited India's early fulfillment of Paris commitments and progress toward Net Zero by 2070, with renewables comprising nearly 50% of total capacity, reinforcing India’s leadership in climate and digital infrastructure.
