NPCI Secures Landmark BKC Address to Power the Future of Digital Payments

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has acquired a 1.5-acre land parcel in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) for ₹829.43 crore to establish its global headquarters. The 80-year lease will allow NPCI to build a 16-storey office tower with around 5 lakh sq ft of built-up area, including multiple basement levels for parking. This strategic move will consolidate NPCI’s operations, support its R&D and innovation in digital payments, and strengthen its global collaborations. The deal highlights BKC’s growing importance as India’s financial hub, attracting high-profile institutions.
