Leena Gandhi Tewari, chairperson of USV Ltd, has acquired two ultra-luxury sea-facing duplexes in Mumbai’s Worli for ₹639 crore, marking India’s most expensive residential deal

The apartments span 22,572 sq ft across the 32nd to 35th floors of the 40-storey Naman Xana tower on Worli Sea Face, with a record price of ₹2.83 lakh per sq ft. Including stamp duty and GST of over ₹63.9 crore, the total transaction cost nears ₹703 crore. This purchase surpasses a recent high-profile acquisition by billionaire banker Uday Kotak, who bought an entire building in the same area for over ₹400 crore. Mumbai's real estate market, especially in South and Central Mumbai, continues its record-breaking momentum driven by strong demand, high-value deals, and increasing RR rates. Industrialists, corporate leaders, and celebrities remain key buyers, reaffirming Mumbai’s position as the country’s most expensive and sought-after real estate market.
