Homeless To Get 60,000 For Land To Build Home: Bihar CM

CM Nitish Kumar announced payment of `60,000 each as assistance to homeless people to purchase land so that houses could be built for them under PM Awas Yojana (PMAY) at a cost of `1.2 lakh.

The CM said registration fee would not be charged on the purchase of land under the new scheme called CM homestead land assistance scheme, which is aligned with the CM Gramin Awas Yojana.

The CM said every household would have toilet by next year under Lohia Swachhta Scheme. Similarly, every household will have power connection by the end of this year. The work on the supply of piped drinking water has been going on briskly, while the plans were under execution to provide pucca street and drainage in every village.
