About 36% of consumers prioritize fast charging, emphasizing growing infrastructure expectations. Despite affordability challenges, interest in hybrids (21%) and BEVs (8%) remains. Notably, 72% of Indians are open to switching vehicle brands, with 35% driven by desired tech/features. A generational shift is evident, with 70% of 18–34-year-olds open to Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS). Additionally, 76% prefer buying directly from manufacturers, indicating digital transformation in car sales. Indian consumers also show high trust in technology—88% willing to share data for safety features, and 82% see AI as beneficial, prioritizing safety and quality over price.
