Cochin Shipyard Ltd has signed an MoU with Drydocks World.

A DP World company, to jointly develop ship repair clusters in Kochi (Kerala) and Vadinar (Gujarat). The partnership aims to create world-class ship maintenance and repair facilities, strengthening India’s maritime infrastructure. Both companies will collaborate with government bodies, including major ports, to enhance ship repair and offshore fabrication capabilities. The MoU also includes plans to explore synergies in related sectors such as marine engineering, offshore fabrication, and strategic infrastructure projects. This initiative aligns with India’s push to become a global hub for shipbuilding and repair, leveraging the expertise of both partners to improve technological capabilities, infrastructure, and service offerings in the maritime sector.
