Adani Group has acquired a rare 1.1-acre freehold land parcel on South Mumbai’s prestigious Carmichael Road for over ₹170 crore through its subsidiary, Mah-Hill Properties.
The plot, currently housing a 2,760 sq ft old residential cottage, is located in the ultra-luxurious Malabar Hill area. The buyer paid ₹10.46 crore in stamp duty for the deal, registered on March 27. The property was previously entangled in legal disputes, now resolved by court-approved consent terms. It remains unclear whether the plot will be developed into a high-rise or bungalow. Carmichael Road is one of India’s most exclusive addresses, known for its historic mansions, sea views, and high property values, attracting top industrialists and corporate leaders.
